Alicia Sorber Gallegos – Franchisee

Alicia is the local franchisee for Two Men and a Truck in San Diego and San Marcos. She and her husband Pedro opened the first Southern California store for the brand in September 2012 with just two trucks. In February 2015, they expanded to the San Marcos location to better serve North County customers, and received a nomination for Business of the Year from the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce after their first year of business. Since their initially launching, Alicia’s team has performed more than 6000 moves and operates a 10-truck fleet. She is a member of North San Diego County Association of Realtors, and was recognized with the Affiliate of the Year award for her dedication to the real estate community.

Alicia takes pride in providing top-notch customer service and assisting her local community. Each year, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® organizes two community-wide charity events: the Movers for Moms campaign, which provides needed items and small gifts to local women in need, and Movers for Military campaign, which provides clothes and toiletry items to homeless veterans. The company also participates in year-round charity work.

Alicia’s goal is to be a resource for local people looking to move their home or business, whether they are moving nearby or far away. Having moved many times personally, including cross-country, she understands moving can be a stressful experience, is committed to making it as smooth as possible for others. And she shares personal connection to the brand – her dad was one of the original “two men” and her grandma, Mary Ellen, drew the company logo and franchised the business. As a girl, Alicia’s parents ran a Two Men and a Truck franchise out of her house in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Watching her family’s experience encouraged her to open her own business.
